    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Please ensure all sinks are equipped with soap and paper towel in a dispenser. Ensure any rooms that do not have hand washing sink with client procedures taking place have an alcohol-based hand sanitizer between 60-90% alcohol content. Ensure rooms with hand washing sinks, including laundry sinks, washroom sinks etc that have not been used days after the flood, are run for a couple of minutes to flush out the lines.
    • 22. If the facility sterilizes equipment, are all proper sterilization, verification, and documentation processes in place (Critical)?
      • Autoclave testing is not suffice, autoclaves are in areas not suitable for reprocessing. Please move the autoclave to a room with sufficient space and sink. Autoclaves must show time/temp/pressure. Monthly spore testing must be done.Each load must have a class 5 indicator. Once autoclave is moved to permanent position, please have a qualified professional requalify the machine and tested prior to use. All documents, testing must be recorded and kept in close proximity to autoclave.Once done please reprocess all equipment that was previously used and reprocessed by any autoclaves in the building.
    • 23. If the facility sterilizes equipment, are all proper sterilization, verification, and documentation processes in place (Non-Critical)?
      • Ensure load numbers and dates of sterilization are documented on all reusable tools and equipment packaging that needs to be sterile at the point of use and also recorded on logbooks and on client records.Please develop a failed sterilization protocol (template will be provided)
