      • No written procedures were available for the reprocessing sink, which was also being used for handwashing. Written procedure templates were provided by the Public Health Inspector via email.Ensure that the written procedures are completed and kept on-site at all times for reference and review.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • Reprocessed equipment was being stored on a paper towel inside the cabinet. Education was provided regarding the risk of contamination associated with paper towels, as they can retain moisture and compromise the integrity of cleaned equipment.Ensure that after reprocessing and thorough drying, all clean equipment is stored in a designated container that is smooth, moisture‑impervious, and easy to clean and disinfect.
    • 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
      • No sharps container was available onsite, and sharps were being discarded with regular waste. Education was provided regarding safe sharps disposal practices.Obtain a sharps container and ensure all sharps are disposed of safely in the designated container.

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • No intermediate level disinfectant was available for the disinfection of pedicure basin. Preempt CS20 was available with proper testing strips. The owner made an online order at the time of inspection for Preempt RTU. Please use CS20 for the disinfection of pedicure basin while waiting for the RTU.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • The water at the sink in the pedicure room was not hooked up at the time of inspection. Please ensure hot/cold running water is available at the sink. The sink in the pedicure room must be used for tool processing only.
