      • Every operator shall be trained in public pool and public spa operation and maintenance, filtration systems, water chemistry and all relevant safety and emergency procedures. O. Reg. 565, s. 6(2).

    • The pH value is within the range of 7.2 to 7.8.
      • Every owner and every operator of a public pool or public spa shall ensure that the pool or spa water is treated with chlorine, a chlorine compound or a bromine compound by means of a chemical feeder, and is maintained so that in every part of the pool or spa, at all times during the daily use period, the pH value is within the range of 7.2 to 7.8. O. Reg. 565, s. 7(8)(b).
    • Daily records are kept and signed each operating day, and retained for one year.
      • Make-up water: Every operator of a public pool or public spa shall keep and sign daily records that shall set out, in relation to each operating day, the reading of the make-up water meter for pools and, if applicable, for spas, as of the end of the day. O. Reg. 565, s. 8(b).
