- Used disposable gloves were observed stored at the time of inspection. Staff stated they washed and reuse gloves. Disposable gloves are intended for single use only and cannot be adequately cleaned and sanitized for reuse. The issue was corrected during the inspection. The operator discarded the disposable gloves. Ensure that disposable gloves are discarded after single use.

- An expired disinfectant solution was observed at the time of inspection. Staff were unable to confirm whether the disinfectant had been refilled or whether it was the original expired product. Staff advised that the disinfectant is not routinely used and that disinfecting wipes are primarily used for disinfection purposes.Ensure that all disinfectant products are used and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions and are not used beyond their expiry date. Remove expired products from use and ensure that only approved, in-date disinfectants are available on-site for use when required.

- The operator stated that fingers are used to dispense products from jars during service. Direct hand contact with products may result in contamination if proper hand hygiene practices are not followed.Ensure that products are dispensed in a manner that minimizes the risk of contamination. If fingers are used to dispense products, hands must be thoroughly washed immediately beforehand, or new, clean disposable gloves must be donned immediately after performing hand hygiene. Alternatively, use a clean single-use dispensing item, such as a popsicle stick, to dispense the product.

- Hair washing sink was observed to contain a jelly-like substance on the metal drainer at the time of inspection. The operator indicated that the substance was hair dye residue. Accumulation of hair dye, hair, and other debris on sink surfaces may impede effective cleaning and sanitation.The operator began cleaning the affected sink drainer during the inspection. Ensure that hair washing sinks, including drainers and surrounding surfaces, are thoroughly cleaned after each use to maintain proper hygiene standards and prevent the buildup of residue and debris.
