- 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
- An anti-entrapment plan was submitted and has been reviewed. From the information provided in the plan and information gathered during a site visit, additional information is required to determine if the anti-entrapment plan is compliant or not:- The plan states a maximum flow rate of 123gpm, determined by a flow meter. The picture of the flow meter provided with the report does not show any reading. Also, the scale/grading on the flow meter is faded and hard to read. From the pump curve, the max flow rate for each pump is 146gpm- A hand drawn diagram was submitted as proof that the submerged suction outlets are interconnected. This is not acceptableThe following actions or additional information is required:1) Replace the flow meter with a proper flow meter that can be read. Run the pumps to max speed, take a picture of the max flow rate on the flow meter and send to me. You can also determine the max flow by using the pump curve2) Contract the services of a third party to perform line tracing to determine if the submerged suction outlets are interconnected3) Contract the services of a third party to determine how the pumps are connected to the submerged suction outlets.4) The plan show that the main drain covers are expired. If they have been replaced, please provide evidence of newly installed covers and their expiry dates.5) Provide the actual distance between drain covers
