- 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
- The cyanuric acid (CYA) level was tested to be: 80mg/L, 82mg/L, 73mg/L, 70mg/L, 65mg/L, 60mg/L, 59mg/L, 56mg/L. Outdoor pools may use CYA but must keep the level below 50mg/L.The pool operator started draining and refilling the pool with fresh water at the time of the inspection to drop the CYA level.

- Water sample taken Nov 12, 2024 - HPC >57000 CFU/mL-Resample
- 12. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Critical)?
- 1) The flow meter showed 215 GPM. The drain covers, believed to be Hayward WGX1031BLV2 (documentation was missing) are rated for 190 GPM when installed on the floor. -The operator reduced the system flow rate to 180GPM. Please ensure the system flow rate does not exceed the drain cover rating (corrected).2) Drain covers expired July 2024. -Replace drain covers. To acquire the appropriate drain cover, first determine the maximum flow rate of the system and then obtain covers that will exceed that flow rate.
- 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
- Floating weir on the right side of the pool (near the bar) is missing. -Replace the equipment or install a ring to ensure contaminants from the pool are being removed effectively.
- 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
- 1) Anti-entrapment plan was missing certificate for drain covers, and did not list the model of the covers.-Ensure signed certificate showing installation/expiry date and model number are available in the plan2) Anti-entrapment plan says maximum flow rate of the system is 100 GPM. Flow rate was observed at 215 GPM during inspection.-Pump appears to be SP3015X20A, with a pump curve maximum of about 123 GPM. Operator must investigate why flow meter is showing a number outside of the pump's range, and also reassess maximum flow rate
