- Ensure that at all times in which it is in service, the small drinking water system is operated in accordance with the requirements under this Regulation.
- Comply with all sampling, testing, monitoring and reporting requirements under this regulation.
- Samples are taken in a manner that meets the requirements of the regulation.
- Take samples from the point at which water enters the small drinking water systems distribution system or plumbing that is connected to the small drinking water system.
- Take samples from a point where it is reasonable to believe that the water sample is of the same quality and composition as the water in the small drinking water system that is at a point in the system immediately following the application of any and all treatment by that system.
- The owner and operator of a small drinking water system shall ensure that water test results, directives, and a copy of the regulation is available for inspection at a location reasonably convenient to the public, during hours of operation without charge.
- Ensure the following records: water test results, directives and a copy of this regulation are available for inspection.
- Ensure records are available during normal business hours, without charge and are at a reasonably convenient location for inspection.
- Frequency of sampling and equipment checks meet the requirements of the Regulation.
- Take quarterly samples at least 60 days and not more than 120 days after a sample was taken for that purpose in the previous three-month period.
- The small drinking water system and its equipment is maintained in a safe and sanitary condition, and all the water provided meets the requirements of this regulation or under the Ontario Drinking Water Quality Standards.
