      • High level disinfectant test strips were not observed. The operator stated that an order will be placed immediately. * Obtain high-level disinfectant test strips and ensure the disinfectant in tested each day used and records kept. A disinfectant testing log sheet will be sent with this report. Poured disinfectant solution in use should be discarded and changed after 14days or when the testing fails.

      • The required written procedures as it applies to the operations of the facility was not observed. The facility adopted the AHS written procedures templates during inspection.
    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • Used single-use nail files were observed at a nail station. The files were discarded during inspection. Please ensure single-use tools are discarded immediately after use and not re-used.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • No high-level disinfectant was observed to disinfect reusable semi-critical manicure and pedicure tools. * Obtain a high-level disinfectant and necessary supplies to adequately disinfect tools.* Ensure all tools in the facility are disinfected before use according to the manufacturers instructions.* Obtain high-level disinfectant test strips and ensure the disinfectant in tested each day used and records kept. A disinfectant testing log sheet will be sent with this report. Poured disinfectant solution in use should be discarded and changed after 14days or when the testing fails.Note that the sterilizer equipment in the facility is not adequate and cannot be used as a sterilizer in the facility. If you intend to purchase a sterilizer in future, it is recommended you contact AHS-EPH to review the equipment before purchase.

      • Some feet bowls were unclean. The staff cleaned and disinfected the bowls during inspection.Ensure the entire facility and equipment are maintained in a sanitary condition.

      • Wax room walls adjacent to bed was soiled and paint was peeling. This area required cleaning and repainting.Clear plastic bin storage unit located adjacent to sterilizer was soiled and required cleaning.
