      • Used toe separator was found on a shelf.Operator said it was being re-used on kids. These are single use uncleanable items.Operator was asked to discard them and never to re-use them on anyone including children as they are meant to be used on only one person and disposed after each use.
    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • A used nail file was found on one of the nail sections.Operator said she wipes it down with alcohol.Alcohol is not sufficient to disinfect this item.This nail file can only be re-used if the manufacturer states that in can be reused after disinfecting and operator has to provide documentation stating that it can be re-used. Also, equipment has to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a intermediate-level disinfectant such as preempt between each client use.
