      • Fail to provide two buoyant throwing aids with a rope (6mm in diameter, 1/2 width of pool plus 3m in length) securely attached to each. Close pool.
    • At a Class B pool with a water surface area greater than 93 m² where safety supervision is not provided and the number of bathers does not exceed 10, a notice is displayed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure stating CAUTION – THIS POOL IS UNSUPERVISED. BATHERS UNDER TWELVE YEARS OF AGE ARE NOT ALLOWED WITHIN THE POOL ENCLOSURE UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR HIS OR HER AGENT WHO IS NOT LESS THAN SIXTEEN YEARS OF AGE. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF BATHERS ON THE DECK AND IN THE POOL SHALL NOT EXCEED TEN.
    • Caution notice(s) are posted in not fewer than 2 locations at the pool.
      • Fail to indicate on the caution notices the maximum number of bathers permitted on the deck and in the pool at any time.

    • The pool, the deck and walls, and its equipment are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition and free from potential hazards.
      • Fail to maintain the pool's deck and deck surfaces free from hazards or hazardous obstructions and they are kept in a sanitary condition.
    • Where cyanurate stabilization is maintained in outdoor pools, free available chlorine (FAC) reads a minimum of 1.0 ppm and not more than 10 ppm, in association with a cyanuric acid concentration of not greater than 60 ppm.
      • Fail to maintain stabilized FAC at 1.0 - 10 ppm. Close pool.
    • A land line emergency telephone is provided, easily accessible and directly connected to an emergency service or to the local telephone utility.
      • Fail to have a land line emergency telephone that is functional. Close Pool.
    • Where a pool has a water depth of less than 2.5 m, a "Shallow Water - No Diving" or “Caution – Avoid Deep Dives” caution notice is posted in a conspicuous location.
      • Fail to ensure the words "CAUTION - AVOID DEEP DIVES" or "SHALLOW WATER - NO DIVING" are located in a conspicuous location.
      • Fail to ensure notices are printed in figures not less then 150 mm high.

    • A sufficient volume of water is filtered, disinfected and passed through the pool each day (turnover rate).
      • Fail to have a functional flow meter present.
    • Total alkalinity is maintained in the range of 80 ppm to 120 ppm, in every part of the pool and at all times during the daily use period.
      • Fail to maintain total alkalinity at 80 - 120 ppm.
    • Caution notice(s) are posted in not fewer than 2 locations at the pool.
      • Fail to indicate on caution notices the location of the emergency telephone.
    • Records as prescribed in the regulation are kept and signed by the operator and are retained for a period of 1 year.
      • Fail to record test required in subsection 7(11) and 7(12) of the regulation (i.e. TA, pH, FAC, TC, Br, water clarity, water temperature) every 2 hrs (without a automatic sensing device) or every 4 hrs. (with an automatic sensing device).
      • Fail to record the reading of the make-up water meter at the end of the day.
      • Fail to record the time of day the emergency telephone was tested.
      • Fail to record the time of day the ground fault detector was tested either monthly or according to the manufacturer's instructions.
      • Fail to record the cyanuric acid concentration not less than once every week.
