170 - 6701 Highway 53 Ponoka AB T4J 1K3 · Personal Services

Inspection summary

Knockout Nails by Kelcie has been inspected 2 times by Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health) since July 8, 2026. The most recent inspection, on September 11, 2026, found no infractions.

1 of 2 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there were 2 inspections with 2 infractions recorded. All recorded findings relate to upkeep, equipment or paperwork rather than direct infection-control risks to clients.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their findings differently, so we group them by what they mean for clients. In personal service settings like salons, spas and tattoo studios, higher-risk findings are the ones that could spread infection from one client to the next, through broken skin, blood or instruments that were not properly cleaned and sterilized.

  • Food safety training and certificationLower risk

Some jurisdictions require operators to complete infection-prevention training, or to hold specific qualifications for higher-risk services such as tattooing, piercing or electrolysis. These findings mean the training record was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean a client was put at risk.

Recorded once on July 8, 2026. For example: Has the operator notified the RHA of the existence of a personal service business, including contact and location information, as well as all personal services currently offered or new personal services that will be offered for facilities and/or special events?

  • Equipment and utensilsLower risk

Instruments, chairs, tables and footbaths must be made of materials that can be cleaned, kept in good repair and stored so they stay clean. Single-use items such as nail files, buffers, razors and needles must be thrown away after each client.

Recorded once on July 8, 2026. For example: Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
