- 02. Has the operator notified the RHA of the existence of a personal service business, including contact and location information, as well as all personal services currently offered or new personal services that will be offered for facilities and/or special events?
- A personal services notification had not been submitted to Alberta Health Services prior to operating. This was done on behalf of operator following the inspection. Ensure health authority is notified if any services are added or if location changes.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- Staff stated they were using barbicide to disinfect hair washing sink and shaving cream brushes. Barbicide requires that tools are soaked in solution for 10 minutes and therefore is unsuitable for those uses. A disinfectant with a DIN was available on-site, use this for disinfecting hair washing sink and surfaces throughout shop. Obtain a product for reducing amount of microorganism on shaving brushes such as antiseptic solution. Always ensure brushes are visibly clean.
