I’m really happy to have this new Loblaws City Market in the neighbourhood. The biggest strength of this store is its incredible product selection. While they may not stock a huge quantity of each individual item, the variety is outstanding. I would estimate they carry well over 13,000–15,000 SKUs. For example, there are nearly 30 different kinds of milk alone, and the bakery and pastry section offers more than 50 fresh and frozen options. It feels like you can find almost anything you need. The store is bright, spotless, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are also very competitive. Compared to nearby stores like Safeway and T&T, I found fish and dairy to be around 10% cheaper, bread about 10–15% less expensive, and meat generally 5–10% lower in price. If you collect PC Optimum points, the value becomes even better. The layout is generally well organized, although one downside is that essentials like milk and eggs are located at the very back of the store, so you'll need to walk through the entire supermarket for everyday items. On the other hand, I really like that the ready-to-eat meals, party trays, and grab-and-go section are right at the entrance. It's perfect for busy people who just want to pick up lunch or dinner quickly. My only major criticism is the checkout area. There is only one checkout lane with eight self-checkout stations and one staff member assisting. During busy periods, it's common to wait around 5–10 minutes to pay, and the queue can block two aisles, making it difficult for shoppers to move around. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to the neighbourhood. The selection, pricing, cleanliness, and friendly service easily outweigh the checkout issue. Welcome to the neighbourhood, Loblaws—we're glad you're here!

This store is excellent! We are so excited to welcome it to the area, which was previously a grocery store dead zone. The store is impressively designed with an efficient layout. No fuss, get in fast, and find exactly what you need quickly. I am thankful for their good selection of pretty well anything you need. The early to late hours are also highly appreciated.

It's on the upper floor with an entrance on street level + escalator, so not a good location for buying anything more than a handful of items. Cramped entryway and initial floor layout sucks, but it does open up a little once you wind your way through the initial 3-4 choke points. Prices are above average. You wont save much at City Markets. Gets a few stars for convenience and the fresh prepared food being of a good selection and not as terribly expensive. Nice deli.

A huge amount more selection than nearby grocery stores. Decent prices. I'm used to tight layout grocery stores and would rather have more choices than more room. I would love to see less American choices though and the best shelves reserved for Canadian stuff.

Awful. Both times i have shopped i have had expired rotten items. First time cheese that was 6 days expired and 3 out of 5 mini cucumbers moldy. Today raspberry’s that are compete mush. Layout of the store is awful. Better off going to the city market on arbutus.
