    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Written procedures for skin cleansing were completed at the time of inspection specifically regarding use of single-use disposable razors if used prior to laser hair removal service.Written procedures for accidental skin cuts or punctures will be provided.
    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • Pencil sharpener is required for the marking pencils used on intact skin. Marking pencils must be sharpened between each client use.
    • 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
      • A puncture-resistant container with a tight-fitting lid is required for sharps disposal (i.e. single-use razor's). It must be located in the client service area where sharps tools (i.e. needles, lancets etc.) are used.
    • 25. Are the equipment manufacturer's instructions for use of specific equipment available and followed?
      • The manufacturer's instructions for use (MIFU) is not available for the energy-emitting equipment available on-site at the time of inspection. Provide this office with a copy and ensure the MIFU is kept in an accessible place for reference by a personal services worker at all times.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Re-iterated labelling requirement for cosmetic products. The following labels are required: product identity, manufacturer, directions for use and list of ingredients.
