    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • Staff indicated that the reusable nail equipment is scrubbed clean prior to soaking in the disinfectant. However, some dirty cuticle pushers and other items were found in the "cleaned" drawer. Staff removed these items to rewash and disinfect. Ensure all reusable equipment is fully cleaned prior to disinfecting.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The facility uses PreEmpt CS-20 as their disinfectant for the reusable nail equipment. However, the bottle of CS-20 was expired. Please purchase a new bottle of disinfectant. The facility also uses the CS-20 for up to 5 days before discarding it. There are no records for checking the concentration of the disinfectant. If the disinfectant is to be reused (for up to 14 days) the concentration must be monitored. Please purchase some test strips to monitor the concentration of the disinfectant and include the results in your records.
