    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • Waxing stick was left resting on the container after use at both the front station and one waxing station in the first room to the left.- Dispose of all single use or uncleanable equipment after using and ensure station is cleaned after each session.
    • 18. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The drawer of more than one of the hair stations where combs and brushes were stored was not cleaned.2. Hair debris was found in hair cutting tools.- Clean the drawers and hair cutting tools and ensure regular cleaning is done.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. HLD5 was expired March 19, 2025.- Acquire new HLD5 and check the expiry dates moving forward. Replace when needed.2. Test strips for HLD5 could not be located at time of inspection.- Acquire test strips for HLD5 and ensure all staff know where to locate them if needed. 3. Monitoring log could not be located at time of inspection. - Ensure monitoring log is available onsite and that the high level disinfectant is tested and recorded daily.

    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • 1. Missing hand soap at one of the hand washing stations. 2. Missing paper towel dispensers by the hand washing stations.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. The hydrafacial machine did not have manufacturer's instruction for use (MIFU) available at time of visit to verify required steps for maintenance and cleaning and disinfecting procedure. Please obtain MIFU or implement appropriate cleaning and disinfecting steps for the machine.2. 70% alcohol without a drug identification number is used as a disinfectant for reusable tools such as extractor loop and facial devices. Please obtain a high level disinfectant to disinfect extractor loop. Facial devices that are non-invasive but may come in contact with mucous membrane must also be disinfected with high level disinfectant. Intact skin contact only devices can be disinfected with the RTU that is readily available.
