    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • A high-level disinfectant (HLD) and proper indicator test strips are required. If using PreEmpt HLD5, buy AHP2 indicator test strips. HLD log templates were provided at the time of inspection. High-level disinfectant logs need to be maintained.An intermediate-level disinfectant (ILD) (i.e. Cavicide, PreEmpt RTU, MicroKleen3 etc.) is required to disinfect certain tools/equipment. Ensure the ILD has the following claims on the label: DIN, Disinfectant, Tuberculocidal or Mycobacterium.
    • 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
      • Requested that all expired sterile equipment be discarded.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • The eyelash lifting kit cannot be used for eyebrow services unless specifically stated on the label by the manufacturer. Remove cosmetic products that have expired and/or are no longer used for services currently being offered.Discontinue use of cosmetic products that do not have labelling information that does not include the English language.
