   • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
     • Operator asked to review and complete the following relevant written procedures: Cleansing of skin and mucous membrane Client care in the event of an accidental skin cut or puncture Decontamination of any sink that will be used for both handwashing and equipment reprocessingThese should be completed as soon as possible and kept on file for review during future inspections or if needed by the operator.
   • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
     • Most of the equipment used in the facility is single-use, disposable. All reusable semi-critical equipment is cleaned and then disinfected with CS-20. Inspector discussed the requirement for test strips and a disinfectant log when using a high-level disinfectant. The operator described the general use of the CS-20 and it appeared to meet legislative requirements. The operator had been unaware of the requirement for test strips and will order the appropriate test strips.
