      • Ongoing violation:Single use nail files were re-used. Please discard single use items immediately after use.

      • Some of the clean tools were not stored in a sanitary manner. The tool baskets were dusty. Please ensure clean tools are stored in a sanitary manner.

      • Organic matters were seen on the clean tools that were left to dry in the sterilizer. Please clean the tools thoroughly and inspect that it is visibly clean before the disinfection step.

      • Reusable semi-critical tools for manicures and pedicures are not being dried before being placed into CS20 for disinfection.After washing with soap/detergent and water, and following rinsing, tools must be completely dry (either air dried or with a clean towel or paper towel) before placing into CS20 to disinfect.

      • Reusable semi-critical tools for manicures and pedicures are not being cleaned with soap/detergent and water during the clean step. Staff stated that tools are rinsed with water only.Tools must be cleaned with soap/detergent and water during the cleaning step.

      • CS20 was being reused over multiple days, but no test strips were being used to test the solution after the first day of use. A log was being maintained stating that the solution was passing reuse testing, but staff stated that they didn't know what test this was indicating.For each day of reuse, CS20 must be tested with test strips, the concentration of solution be acceptable, and the condition of the solution be acceptable (ie free of debris etc).

      • June 22, 2206: Pedicure basins were being cleaned, but they were not being disinfected.After cleaning the pedicure basins, they must be disinfected.June 4, 2024:1. Bleach solution is used to disinfect pedicure bowls. Please ensure a low-level disinfectant is used instead (recommended to use an intermediate level disinfectant).

      • Customer bathroom had an unsecured roll of paper towel on the ledge of the sink. Paper towel dispenser was empty.-Provide single-use drying implements in a manner that protects them from contamination-Operator changed the setup to single-use towels on a shelf beside the handsink
