      • No written procedure for the application of antiseptic product prior to puncturing skin. Provide written procedure.No written procedure for client care in the event of an accidental cut/puncture. Provide written procedure. Corrected during inspection.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • One of the vinyl chairs at workstation had its surface flaking off so no longer easily cleanable. Please repair or replace the chair.The washroom has not been completely finished yet; only cold water hooked up (not hot) and some electrical work and flooring still needing to be completed.
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Some of the inks were expired. Discard expired inks.There was a spray bottle of cleaning solution that was not labelled; please label as to its contents.

    • 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
      • Alcohol product that did not have a DIN or NPN# was being use on skin prior to tattoo. Antiseptic product used must have a DIN or a NPN# (and be safe for use on skin). Was advised would switch to using Dettol as they have it on site, it has a DIN# and label advised it is safe for use on skin.
