      • Tools were being disinfected with the proper high-level disinfectant (CS-20).However, these tools were NOT completely submerged in disinfectant. They were partially submerged in glass jars that were only 1/3 full of disinfectant.Please change containers to a style that allows for the complete submergence of the tools for the appropriate amount of time (ie. 20 minutes with CS-20). Examples: Nail Tool Soaking Tray/Soaking Box.

      • *Disposable nail files were being reused by the staff. Operator was asked to discard the nail files which they did. *This is a repeat violation.

      • *Reusable foot scrubs were being reused. Facility was observed washing and drying the foot scrubs to be used.Operator discarded them in the garbage during the inspection. *This is a repeat violation.

      • Facility was observed re-using single use disposable items.Operator corrected this during the inspection by throwing the disposable items away.
    • 18. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Foot baths had grime build up. Please ensure the foot baths are cleaned thoroughly daily to prevent bacterial growth.
    • 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
      • Used blades were being stored in a plastic bottle in the bathroom. This was corrected during the inspection. Operator took out a sharps container and placed the plastic bottle in the container.Pleas ensure that all sharps are disposed off in the sharps container to prevent resulting in a physical and biological hazard.
