      • Operator failed to ensure that equipment/instruments are cleaned and intermediate level disinfected between each client. Intermediate level disinfection required for equipment/instruments intended to contact only intact skin, but may accidently come into contact with non-intact skin, mucous membrane or penetrate the skin
    • Disinfectants used as per manufacture’s instructions
      • No sufficient disinfectant on-site for services offered
      • Disinfectant not to be used past expiry date
      • Has a drug identification number (DIN) or natural product number (NPN) as assigned by Health Canada
      • Alcohol to be used only to soak equipment/instruments for at least 10 minutes; wiping is not sufficient to achieve an appropriate contact time
