      • There was no high level disinfectant for disinfecting tools available onsite when arrived. The manager went and purchased PreEMPT CS20 and PreEmpt RTU disinfectants. - Ensure that there are always required disinfectants onsite.The metal drill bits for Dremels are not being cleaned adequately as there was nail dust on some. - Clean and disinfect the drill bits after each use. Debris accumulation on some fans/jets in pedicure tubs. - Thoroughly clean and disinfect the fans/jets after each use.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • The reprocessing sink was dirty. The area for dirty tool is very limited as different containers of scrubs were stored on the counter. - Thoroughly clean the reprocessing sink. - Ensure that there is enough space for clean and dirty tools.Towels on the counter, around the sink, were dirty. - Change towels at least daily or more often if needed.Debris accumulation in containers for waxing supplies. - Clean regularly.Plastic wrap on hand rests for manicures, was not smooth and easy to clean. - Change the plastic after each use as it can not be cleaned/disinfected adequately.

      • Operator stated that semi-critical tools are disinfected by: washing with soap and water, rinsing, drying, then disinfecting by submerging in CS20 for 1 minute.The contact time for CS20 must be 20 minutes.
