      • Used single use disposable items were observed in various areas of the facility. Single use items, that cannot be re-used are to be used once per customer.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • The leather waxing bed is beginning to wear and no longer smooth and easy to clean. Repair surface or replace the waxing bed.

      • Contaminted/used equipment is being stored with clean equipment/single use equipment. Separation and storage of equipment must be done in a way that protects clean and single use equipment from contamination.

      • Some equipment that was supposed to be reprocessed had physical contamination still present. Nail clippers were observed to have physically residue inside of clipper. If they cannot be properly cleaned prior to disinfection, obtain an ultrasonic cleaner.

      • 1. Some equipment that was supposed to be reprocessed had physical contamination still present. Nail clippers were observed to have physically residue inside of clipper. If they cannot be properly cleaned prior to disinfection, obtain an ultrasonic cleaner. 2. Some equipment was not being fully submerged in disinfectant. Equipment must be fully submerged.

      • High level disinfectant testing log is not being kept of previous months. Ensure that past records are kept.

      • Some used nail files were observed within the manicure stations. Nail files are to be used once per client as they are not able to be cleaned and disinfected.Nail files were discarded by Operator.

      • High level disinfectant testing log is not being kept of previous months. Ensure that past records are kept.

      • Pedicure basiins required the use of an approved sanitizer/disinfectant for the basin surfaces. Currently, the product- "Mr. Clean- Clean Freak- Lemon Zest Deep Cleaning Mist" was used for this purpose and is not a cleaning agent and not a sanitizer.
