- 1. Free available chlorine was measured at 0.20ppm.The power board for the Pool Pilot has failed. Automated Aquatics has made repairs to equipment.Upon further investigation by Automated Aquatics, it was found that the salt concentration in the pool water was below the recommended levels. A salt concentration of 3000ppm is required for the best operation of the Pool Pilots (salt cells).Extra salt is needed to bring concentration levels up. In addition, a salt test kit is required on site.As per the direction of Automated Aquatics, backwash half the volume of the pool. Refill, adding the correct amount of salt to bring the salinity to 3000ppm (98.9KG or 5.5 bags of Aqua Salt). Allow the controller to bring the chemistry into balance. Confirm with manual test kit.2. Acid tubes require replacement.Ensure acid tubes are changed and ensure the pH of the pool water is within the acceptable range of 6.8 – 7.6.
