      • 1) No high-level disinfectant such as PREempt CS20 was available. Semi-critical such as facials extractors are not properly disinfected.2) Using Buckeye Eco Neutral Disinfectant without Drug Identification NUmber (DIN) or MDL was used to disinfect surfaces such laser eye goggles and other hard surfaces.3) Machine probes were disinfected with 70% alcohol without a DIN or MDL.Provide a high-level and low-level disinfectants. Owner ordered them during inspection.

      • No sharps container available to dispose of needles. Provide a sharps container.

    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • One empty and one full vial of BioRepeel chemical peel was found in the facility.Corrective action:Please do not use this BioRepeel chemical peel as it contains Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) which is prohibited in Canada.Both vials were discarded during inspection.

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. HLD5 expired in Sept. 2022. 2. BareHR and Mjoule laser devices are disinfected with alcohol which does not have a DIN.1. Do not use expired disinfectant as its effectiveness is not guaranteed by the manufacturer. 2. Provide PHI the MIFU of both lasers for review. MIFU was not available at time of inspection.
    • 25. Are the equipment manufacturer's instructions for use of specific equipment available and followed?
      • MIFU for BareHR and Mjoule were not available at time of inspection. MIFU should be accessible at least electronically and available to additional trained staff for reference.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Ultrasound gel were topped up in smaller bottles.The reusable bottles must be wash, rinsed and dried before refill. Do not top up the bottles from bulk supply.
