      • Discard single use equipment immediately after use.
      • Ensure that all equipment designed for single use or made of a material that does not withstand cleaning and disinfection or sterilization is discarded immediately after use (e.g., nail files, buffer blocks, gloves, sponges, applicator sticks, ear piercing adapters).
      • Roll-on wax cartridge must be used for one client only and discarded immediately after use. Do not reuse and/or refill roll-on wax cartridges.
    • Did operator store and dispense products in a manner to prevent contamination?
      • Dispense products (e.g., creams, oils, ointments, gels, wax and skin antiseptics) in a manner to prevent contamination.
      • Store products in a manner to prevent contamination.
      • Ensure products are not topped up with fresh product (e.g., do not add new solution to the current solution). If a reusable container is used, it must be emptied, cleaned, disinfected, rinsed, and dried before refilling.
      • Discard expired cosmetic products (e.g., topical anesthetics, inks, dyes).
      • Manicure/pedicure: Dispense products (e.g., paraffin wax, nail gels/powders) in a manner to prevent contamination.
      • Apply styptic product in powder and liquid form using a single use applicator.
      • A styptic pencil must be used for one client only. Do not use styptic pencils on multiple clients as the tip of the pencil comes into contact with blood.
      • Cover wax pot when not in use.
