      • Expired PreEmpt wipes were being used. These were discarded by the operator. MicroKleen was available for sufaces.
    • 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
      • Jewelry used for piercings was not sterile at point of use. It was soaked in either alcohol of PreEmpt CS 20. Please purchase these items pre-sterilized or purchase an autoclave and follow all required instructions and guidelines.Operator will switch to pre-sterilized jewelry for now.

    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • No written procedures were available at the time of inspection. Copy of AHS written procedure template will be provided alongside this report. Please complete the relevant sections and keep them on site for reference.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Oxivir wipes and MicroKleen are used to disinfect surfaces.CS20 is used for semi-critical items. Both bottles of CS 20 were expired. Operator ordered a new bottle at the time of inspection. Once the new bottle arrives, please send a picture of the expiry date.CS20 is changed daily - no requirement to have test strips or HLD logs (as it is not being re-used).
    • 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
      • 1. There were multiple expired pre sterilized earrings/ microblading needles. 2. Jewelry used for belly button piercings was no longer sterile. It had been re-packaged into plastic containers. Please ensure all critical items are sterile at point of use and within manufacturer expiry dates. Operator has removed these items.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Expired microblading pigments were found. These were discarded by the operator.
