Locate or complete writtten procedures for skin cleansing for each service (page 2).       • Used single use nail files and buffers we observed at two of the manicure stations. Items are single use only.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Preempt CS20 high level disinfectant was available for disinfecting semi-critical tools. High level disinfectant test strip results were being recorded every two weeks. Ensure the high-level disinfectant is being tested daily and recorded daily.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Refectocil and other lash items were thrown together on a tray in one of the service rooms and not being stored properly to ensure they are safe and sanitary for use.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • The reprocessing area was disorganized with implements and containers of implements stacked on each other. Maintain the area in a clean and organized manner to facilitate adequate cleaning and disinfection.
