    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Hand sanitizer expired in March 2022. The hand sanitizer was discarded during the inspection. Ensure that hand sanitizers used have NPN/DIN, alcohol content between 60 and 90%, and are not expired.
    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Sharp tools used for extractions during facials were reused. Ensure that all sharp tools used for extractions are discarded after one use.
    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • Some re-usable tools (eyelash guides and containers for tinting) were not visibly clean. Ensure that the re-usable tools are visibly clean prior to disinfection.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The manufacturer's instructions for use of Barbicide solution were not followed: the solution was changed every week, and not daily, as required.
    • 25. Are the equipment manufacturer's instructions for use of specific equipment available and followed?
      • The machines Hydro Beauty Skin System, H2O2 Small Bubble and LED Light did not have manufacturer's instructions. Ensure that the manufacturer's instructions are available or discontinue use of the equipment.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • The reprocessing area was located in the bathroom. Bathroom sink was used for tools washing. Discussed: the basement main room sink will be used for tools reprocessing.
