- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- PreEmpt RTU is used to disinfect the reusable equipment. Semi-critical equipment such as nail clippers, nippers and cuticle pushers require a high level disinfectant. PreEmpt RTU is considered an intermediate level disinfectant (it can still be used on surfaces and the pedicure basins). Please obtain a high level disinfectant for the reusable tools. The label must indicate that it is a 'high level disinfectant' and have a DIN.
