      • The combined chlorine (CC) was measured to be 2.88ppm. Please keep the CC as low was possible (at least under 1.0ppm) to reduce bather skin and mucous membrane irritation.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The manual testing indicated a free chlorine of 7.26ppm. The automated controller showed a reading of 2.94ppm. Please investigate the discrepancy between the manual testing and the automated readings and calibrate if needed.

      • The filtration rate was calculated to be 14.33 gpm/sqft The maximum rate of filtration for a high-rate sand filter must not be greater than 8.5 litres per second per square meter (12.5 US gallons per minute per square foot) for a whirlpool. Please reduce the flow of the system.
    • 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
      • The anti-entrapment plan has not been updated with the new cover details. A copy of the AHS anti-entrapment plan template will be emailed along with this report. Please complete the plan and submit to the undersigned PHI for review.

The free chlorine was tested again later during the inspection to be 5.32.Please ensure the whirlpool free chlorine is mainatined at a level of at least 2.0ppm.
