    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • There is no paper towel placed in a suitable wall-mounted holder/dispenser which can ensure the bulk supply remains sanitary.REQUIREMENT: Install a wall-mounted holder/dispenser.
    • 16. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Non-Critical)?
      • There is no system for storing and transporting laundry to and from the site.REQUIREMENT: Operator must demonstrate how dirty laundry will be stored onsite, and how laundry will be transported in such a manner that clean and soiled laundry will not mix.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Some cosmetic products did not have any ingredient lists in English or French.Operator was informed and is now aware these products cannot be used and will remove them from the site.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • There is currently insufficient space to separate clean and dirty tools which need to be reprocessed.Operator stated that a shelf may be constructed above the sink to help accomplish this.REQUIREMENT: Ensure there is enough space so dirty and clean tools can be properly separated, and cross contamination of clean tools does not occur.
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • A notable build-up of scale was noted in a facial steamer. The operator was not using distilled water in the machine.REQUIREMENT: Make a water-vinegar solution and run it through the machine to clean it. After treatments are complete, ensure the continued use of distilled water for the facial steamer.
