      • Written procedures are not available for the following: - Cleansing of the skin (CORRECTED)- Application of antiseptic - Post-service care for energy-emitting devices (Laser) - Decontamination of sink when used for both handwashing and equipment reprocessing (CORRECTED)Written procedures must be developed and maintained for staff awareness. An AHS written procedure template was provided to the operator.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • No test strips available for the high-level disinfectant. The operator is reusing the high-level disinfectant for more than a day. Test strips must be used to test the concentration of the high-level disinfectant if planning to reuse the solution up to 14 days as indicated on the manufacturer's instructions. Please obtain appropriate test strips for the high-level disinfectant.

      • No antiseptic available during the inspection. Procedures that puncture the skin require a cleansing step followed by the use of an antiseptic. Lancets are used for the sugaring service. The operator stated they have ordered isopropyl alcohol 70%.
