- 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
- Sterility assurance documentation is not available for needle cartridges purchased as sterile. Documentation of sterile equipment must be maintained for a minimum of two years. Information must include the name of the client, client contact information, date of service, description of the service, the name of the staff member, the lot number of the sterile equipment, and the expiration date of the sterile equipment.
- 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
- Several inks were expired and stored on the trolley. Tattoo inks should not be used when expired as the product cannot be guaranteed safe to use past the expiration date. Ensure tattoo inks are regularly checked for expiration dates and discard those that are expired.
