    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Preempt CS20 disinfectant failed the efficacy test using AHP 7 test papers. The solution was last changed on August 13, however the AHP 7 test strips used (exp 06-2025) did not start changing colour until after 3 minutes from the point of immersion. Test results have been documented by the operator, indicating that previous tests, including the most recent once on August 18, had passed. However, the operator was unaware of the requirement that the colour change must occur within 35 seconds, as directed by the manufacturer. The disinfectant may be diluted as the operator did not ensure precleaned equipment was dried before disinfection.Disinfectant solution was changed during the inspection and the test passed within 5 seconds.
