    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Written procedures were completed during the inspection again. These procedures were also completed during the last site visit. Please ensure written procedures are kept on-site and updated as needed. They must be presented to a Public Health Inspector upon request.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • A high-level disinfectant is required to disinfect equipment used for eyelash services (i.e. metal tipped applicator, silicone eye pad etc.) which are considered to be a semi-critical tools. Alternatively, remove this tool from the facility and use only single-use disposable applicators.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Decanted cosmetic product (i.e. Sugar SMAC drying powder) was labelled at the time of inspection as per request. Bulk supply was on-site withe proper labelling requirements. Re-iterated to ensure that decanted cosmetic products are labelled with its contents. The original/bulk supply must be labelled with product identity, manufacturer, directions for use and list of ingredients.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • The eyelash tinting product (i.e. Brow Code blue black eyelash and eyebrow tint) was missing labelling information.The eyelash lifting product (i.e. Elleebana lifting kit) was missing labelling information. Original packaging was not available.The 3D lash adhesive cosmetic product was missing labelling information. Obtain proper labelling information for the above items and provide this office with a copy. The original/bulk supply must be labelled with product identity, manufacturer, directions for use and list of ingredients.Ensure cosmetic products used comply with Health Canada - no prohibited products can be used.       • PMU services are no longer being offered. Requested removal of all products associated with this service to be removed from the client service area.
