    • 02. Has the operator notified the RHA of the existence of a personal service business, including contact and location information, as well as all personal services currently offered or new personal services that will be offered for facilities and/or special events?
      • No personal service notification was received by the Regional Health Authority (Alberta Health Services). As of July 1, 2020, operators are required to notify AHS of any existing or new personal services, as well as any additions or changes to services offered within their business. A link to submit the required notification online was provided via email along with the inspection report.Ensure that the notification is completed and submitted, listing all services provided at the facility.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The facility was not maintaining logs for routine testing of the high-level disinfectant, which is being reused for a period of seven days as per and within the manufacturer’s instructions for use.AHS high level disinfectant log sheets were provided by the Public Health Inspector via email.Ensure log sheets are completed daily to monitor and maintain the effective concentration of disinfection solution when cleaning and disinfection of semi-critical tools.

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Observed expired disinfectant wipes and PREempt solution. Advised operator to discard expired disinfectants, and operator discarded them at the time of inspection.2.As per manufacturer's instructions, test strips must be used to determine if disinfectant solution is acceptable to be used more than once. Please use test strips for testing disinfectant re-use period to verify its efficacy. Please record each time disinfectant solution is changed, and record the date of the test on the 7th day of its re-use period. Disinfectant must be changed every 14 days regardless of test result.
