      • High level disinfectant (Pre empt CS20) is not tested with the appropriate test papers (AHP 7%). **HLD logs were incomplete, with no pass/fail test. Proper method to log the HLD sheets were discussed with operator. Operator was instructed to purchase the test paper and follow the manufacturer instruction for disinfectant's use.

      • Some of the reusable tools at the work-station drawers were stored inside the containers with nail dust in them. Instructions provided. Ensure there is proper separation of cleaned and dirty tools. Take all the used reusable tools to the reprocessing area after each client service. Properly store the processed tools inside the clean containers/drawers (ensure that they are protected from environmental contamination).

      • -Written procedures for skin cleansing and accidental cuts were provided.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • -Some of the nail clippers in the drawers at the nails station had nail dust, debris and pieces of nails. Action taken:-Operator was instructed to take the used equipment to the reprocessing area after each use.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Some cosmetic products were not labeled.Operator was instructed to label all the cosmetic products properly.

Chlorine testing strips were used for testing preempt CS20. Please purchase proper testing strips and maintain a high-level disinfectant log, if the CS20 solution is to be used for up to 14 days.
