    • 11. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit?
      • Pool permit was not found in the facility or in paper or email records. Please find and post pool permit from when hotel had a name changed and a new pool permit was issued.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • The ventilation system was not operating properly during inspection, leaving the room to build up a chlorine smell. Please ensure the ventilation system is operating properly.
    • 15. Has an owner or owner's agent, if any, been identified and is the pool operated and maintained by a qualified pool operator?
      • Facility operator could not produce pool operator certificate and has not produced pool operator certificate in the time since the inspection. Please have a copy of the valid pool operator certificate readily available.
    • 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
      • The operator did not have written procedures for basic chemical adjustments, for responding to a contamination event or for responding to a positive bacteriological water sample.Please ensure the facility has written procedures for the above noted tasks.
