- A high-level disinfectant (HLD) is not available and is required for disinfection of semi-critical equipment (i.e. eyelash extension tweezers). Purchase a high-level disinfectant (HLD). Most HLD’s have a 14 to 30-day reuse period but you must also retain proper indicator test strips and keep HLD logs. If using PreEmpt CS20, buy AHP7 indicator test strips (50 count). If using PreEmpt HLD5, buy AHP2 indicator test strips (100 count). HLD log templates were provided to the operator at the time of inspection.
