      • Please obtain the appropriate test strips for the CS20 high level disinfectant, please ensure to record testing. PHI will send template. Drill bits are considered a semi-critical tool and must also be disinfected with a high-level disinfectant and not barbicide.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • Dryer ventilation observed to be damage, dryer lint observed on the ceilings and walls of laundry room. Please fix the ventilation system of the dryer.

      • High-level disinfectant, preempt CS20, was being reused for more than one day without daily testing the concentration with suitable test strips.-High-level disinfectant concentration must be tested if the solution is reused for more one day, please procure suitable test strips, test and document test result as required.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • Alcohol was being used to disinfect facility's surfaces.-Please do not use alcohol to clean and disinfect facility's surface, use low-level disinfectant with Health Canada's Drug Identification Number (DIN) such as Mr. Clean or Lysol.
