      • Single-use disposable nails files observed re-used. Single-use disposable files are not meant to be re-used, not even on the same client. Discard all used files and provide unused nail files for each customer at each service.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • 1. Re-usable equipment observed with nail dust. Ensure nail implements are washed with detergent to remove dust/gross soil, rinse, and disinfectant in intermediate to high level disinfectant. Ensure drawer/containers where tools are stored is also maintained clean.2. CDI - container with post-waxing tweezers observed with wax in the interior bottom of the container. Ensure containers where tools are stored are clean and ensure tools are stored in a sanitary manner to prevent potential contamination. Consider placing single-use, disinfected tools in enclosed container in the drawer to prevent potential contamination.

      • RTU PreEmpt observed expired June 2023. Proper intermediate level disinfection not occuring for nail implements.
