- 1) The facility did not have any high-level disinfectant for semi-critical tools used in nail services and eyelash extension services.REQUIREMENT: Obtain a high-level disinfectant.2) The operator stated that eyelash extension tools were being disinfected with alcohol.REQUIREMENT: Eyelash extension tweezers are semi-critical tools and therefore must be disinfected with a high-level disinfectant.3) According to the operator, the facility did not dry off tools completely before immersing the tools in disinfectant, which is contrary to manufacturer instructions.REQUIREMENT: Follow all manufacturer instructions for disinfectant use. Tools must be fully clean and dried off before the disinfection step, as additional water will dilute the poured disinfectant.4) The operator was reusing Septisol disinfectant over several day to disinfect tools, however, there is no allowance to do so according to the manufacturer instructions. As the operator will need to obtain a high-level disinfectant anyways, this concern is considered corrected during the inspection.

- Several areas of the facility, including a few manicure stations and both private client rooms, had a build-up of visible dust and debris on surfaces.REQUIREMENT: Ensure all parts of the facility are properly cleaned to a visibly clean state.

- Several single-use items including waxing strips and single-use mascara wands were visibly dirty. These items, since they cannot be cleaned, were discarded during the inspection, and therefore the concern is considered corrected.
