    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) The CS20 onsite was expired on February 06, 2026. The solution was tested using a 7.0% AHP testing strip and passed.REQUIREMENT: Replace the expired disinfectant.2) The pedicure basin was being disinfected using Mr. Clean. Staff reported that they leave the solution on the basin for around 2 minutes, where the contact time is 10 minutes.REQUIREMENT: Switch to a disinfectant with a shorter contact time or follow the manufacturer's instructions.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Two waxing pots had an accumulation of debris at the bottom, upon which smeared, contained loose hairs.REQUIREMENT: The bulk waxing supply must be protected from contamination. Do not use these waxing pots.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • The drywall around the reprocessing sink appears to be water damaged and possibly mouldy.REQUIREMENT: Properly repair this area.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • The reprocessing area had dishes stored on top, and food debris inside the reprocessing sink.REQUIREMENT: Food preparation and dishwashing cannot occur at the tool reprocessing sink. Remove all food-related utensils and equipment from the immediate area.

      • 2) Walls in the waxing room were damaged.-ensure all surfaces are smooth, durable, sealed, and in good repair so they are easy to wash/clean.3) Plumbing through main area was exposed.-the plumbing will be enclosed to prevent tripping hazards.

      • 1) Semi-critical reusable equipment/tools were being soaked in Isopropyl Alcohol.-clean (using hot water, detergent, scrub brush, in the sink) and disinfect (high level disinfectant) all semi-critical tools/equipment.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) Walls were being repaired so there were walls of unfinished drywall. 2) Walls in the waxing room were damaged.-ensure all surfaces are smooth, durable, sealed, and in good repair so they are easy to wash/clean.3) Plumbing through main area was exposed.-the plumbing will be enclosed to prevent tripping hazards.
