For business owners
Add a health inspection badge to your website
A small, free badge that lets your customers see your public health inspection record in one click.
What the badge shows
The badge shows your business name and the date of your most recent inspection on record. It links to your facility page here, where visitors can read the full inspection history as published by your public health authority.
Why there's no grade
Most health authorities don't issue a pass/fail grade or score, and we don't invent one. The badge sticks to facts the source published — who you are and when you were last inspected — so it never says more than the official record does.
How to add it
- Find your business on the search page and open its facility page.
- Scroll to the bottom and open “Own this business? Add a badge to your website”.
- Pick a colour, size, and language, and check the live preview.
- Copy the embed code and paste it into your website's HTML — a footer or “About us” section works well.
What the code looks like
The embed is a plain link wrapping an image. There's nothing else to install:
<a href="https://localhealthinspections.com/map/facility/your-business-name" title="View our health inspection record on LocalHealthInspections"><img src="https://api.localhealthinspections.com/v1/public/facility/your-business-name/badge.svg" alt="Your Business — health inspection record on LocalHealthInspections" height="64" style="border:0;height:64px;width:auto" loading="lazy"></a>It stays up to date
The badge image is generated from our current data, so when a new inspection is published for your business, the date on the badge updates automatically — you never need to change the code.
No scripts, no tracking
The badge is an ordinary image and link. It loads no JavaScript, sets no cookies, and uses no iframe, so it won't slow your site down or affect your visitors' privacy. To remove it, just delete the code.
Something looks wrong?
Our data mirrors what your public health authority publishes. If a record looks out of date or incorrect, let us know through our contact page and we'll look into it.
