      • A separate diapering changing table was used as a drying area for bibs and was located in the kitchen area. **Do not use diapering change table as a drying area for bibs or reuseable food equipment. Do not store diapering change table in food preparation areas.

    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • The step mechanism on the garbage can located in the diapering station in the washroom was broken. **Repair or replace.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Duct tape was observed to be on one of the crib slats.**Remove duct tape. ***CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION. THE AREA UNDERNEATH DID NOT HAVE ANY CONCERNS.2. Bottles of bleach sanitizer were not labelled.**Label.***CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Use of the kitchen hand washing station for handwashing before meal times. The step stool is not sufficient for some of the children. **Ensure children can access the handwashing station easily.2. Furniture such as cube storage used as a barrier to separate play area. Staff required to move furniture to go in and out of the play area to kitchen or common hallway.**Create a better system for ease of access in and out of the play area.

    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Two of the water cylinder toys contained duct tape on one side. These make the toys difficult to properly clean as needed. Toys were removed from play area during inspection. Advise using alternate means of repair that allows for smooth and cleanable surfaces.
