      • Diapering surface mats are worn, show signs of damage, and appear visibly unclean. Please replace these mats to maintain a sanitary diapering surface and to prevent the accumulation of dirt and the potential spread of infectious agents

      • Toddler Room- The first aid kit was left outside and unavailable upon request. Ensure that the First Aid Kit is readily available and fully equipped at all times.

      • Infant AreaThere was no adequate separation of items stored in the infant room. Ensure that there is adequate space and items are stored in such a way that allows for easy access and differentiation.

      • No accessible hand wash sink in the infant room. Portable sinks are not permitted to satisfy sink requirements for handwashing or for diapering. Therefore, it is recommended that infants be taken to the toddler room for diaper changes since accessible plumbed in handwashing sinks are required in all diapering areas.* Corrected 10-Jan-2024Plumbed sinks have been installed in both infant and toddler room. These sinks will be used for handwashing after diaper changes. Portable sinks will be connected to the drainage using the hose attached to it and it will be used strictly for toy washing and regular handwashing in between.

      • Washroom in the toddler room & staff room is not properly vented. All rooms containing a flush toilet, a bathtub or a shower must be provided with either mechanical or natural ventilation.Please consult with a building code officer on the issue of ventilation as this is also a building code requirement.

      • Chlorine solution for diapering was noted at 1000ppm.Ensure that chlorine solution for diapering area is at 200ppm and for food contact surfaces at 100ppm.Please verify concentration using chlorine test strips every time a new solution is made.

      • Wooden wall surfaces at the entrance to the infant room was noted to be rough and can cause physical injury. Ensure they are smoothened to prevent physical injury to children.
