      • The operators indicated that staff with suspected communicable illness/symptoms such as diarrhea are allowed to stay at work.**Ensure all staff exhibiting symptoms of communicable diseases are excluded from working and not allowed to return to work until 48 hours after symptoms have resolved.

      • The operators indicated that clients with suspected illness are not always isolated from other clients.**Ensure all clients with suspected communicable diseases are segregated from other clients before being picked up by parents.

      • The facility has no set protocol for cleaning and disinfecting areas contaminated with blood, feces, vomitus and other body fluid.**Ensure to develop a written protocol to guide staff on cleaning and disinfection with regards to body fluids.

      • The bleach solutions in spray bottles throughout the facility measured at 500ppm of chlorine.**Ensure bleach solutions are maintained at 1000ppm as required during outbreaks.-The operation mixed bleach solutions to 1000ppm during the inspection.

      • The operator indicated client bottles are sometimes filled from the hand sink in the Fox room.Please ensure all client drinking water is supplied from the kitchen tap. Ensure all hand sinks are for hand washing purposes only.

      • The hand sink in the infant room and the hand sink in the washroom between the infant and toddler room did not have any not water going to them. This makes hand washing less comfortable which means that staff and kids might not be as thorough them washing their hands. Please have the sinks or plumbing system repaired so that the water from them is warm (35C to 45C).
