    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • The digital probe thermometer was not functional.Provide a functional probe thermometer that can measure between 0C to 100C.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Mouse droppings were found under the cash register.Remove mouse droppings safely and disinfect the contaminated areas.

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • 1) Food containers/lids were stored under the drainage line of the front service hand sink. This is not a sanitary area - please store items in a clean area.2) Staff personal items (bags) were hung on storage shelf for food and food packaging materials. Provide separate area where staff can store their personal items.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Sliced tomatoes and lettuce measured 25C and 20C respectively. Staff unable to provide information to inspector on how long products had been stored out at room temperature (destroyed). There were no labels and staff unable to determine storage time from electronic system. Store cold perishable foods at 4C or lower.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Small flies were noted in the front service area with no means of control. Please eliminate/mitigate pest issue.
    • 18. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this food facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Silicone next to cook line hand sink is dirty/difficult to clean and no longer secured to wall. Please remove and replace with new silicone.
